Birthday Events

What a busy and eventful day!!!! I brought cupcakes to Clara's school to celebrate her birthday. The kids weren't quite sure what to do with the cupcakes. Noah and Clara basically stuck their hands in the frosting and then squished it around with this look of wonder and disgust on their faces. Ellie however, took this perfectly petite little bite out of her cupcake. Since Clara loves to gives hugs so much, we gave her classmates a copy of the book Hug with a little monkey hand puppet. The card read,

"Thank you for being a part of my special day!

Here’s another HUG from me to take home with you!

Love, Clara"

Her teacher Ms. Jackie started to tell me a story and then she said Oh, I'm gonna cry. She said she just loves Clara's hugs and that when she comes in to school in the mornings, when Clara gives her a hug that she thanks Clara so much because she needs those hugs. I, of course was crying at that point and had to give Ms. Jackie a hug myself. : ) After sharing cupcakes with all her past and future teachers we went for her 12 month photo session. The photographer took us across the street to a park for some of the pictures. I can't wait to see them when they are posted on October 2nd. Then we had a Birthday dinner at La Hacienda with Nana, Aunt Katie, Uncle Parrish and Jack and Colin. We all sang Happy Birthday to Clara and she LOVED it!! She smiled really big and laughed. Happy Birthday Clara!!!
